Vehicle dynamics, control, and simulation

About

Aashish Shaju

Hi, Greetings and welcome to my Homepage

This website is focused on my research work and interests. I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate at the Center for Vehicle Systems and Safety(CVeSS) at Virginia Tech, working under the supervision of Dr. Mehdi Ahmadian. My research spans dynamics, control systems, modeling, and simulation, with emphasis on autonomous systems and diagnostics for mechanical and transportation systems.

My doctoral work focused on adaptive control algorithms and simulation frameworks for high-speed platooning of articulated trucks. Currently, my research involves the detection of rail wheel defects using air-coupled ultrasonic methods, integrating embedded systems, data acquisition, and signal processing.

My broader research objective is to develop control and diagnostic methodologies that are both theoretically sound and deployable in real systems. You can view my complete research outputs on Google Scholar or Research Gate.
